  • SEND IN MONEY ON TUESDAYS , THURSDAY
  • AND FRIDAYS! PLEASE USE ICE CREAM ORDER FORM!
  • Breakfast- if you would like your child to eat
    breakfast in the morning, we ask that they be
    here no later than 725 so they can eat and be
    prepared for RTI at 745 (this effects mostly car
    riders)

RTIResponse to Intervention
Everyday the children have the opportunity to
have RTI time. This time is specifically designed
to help the struggling learners as well as the
student that is excelling. Activities are
planned for tutorial and enrichment .

SAXON PHONICS
Saxon Phonics is a success oriented program that
enables most children to develop a solid
foundation in phonics and thus become successful
readers and spellers.
It may be used in conjunction with any other
reading program, providing children the
information they need to be successful!!

Songs and Movement
We use songs and music to teach the children many
things. It gets the blood flowing and the brain
learning! This is the favorite part of the day.

VCE Counseling Department
The Counseling Department at VCE has been awarded
the RAMP status. This award recognizes schools
that are committed to delivering a comprehensive,
data driven school counseling program and an
exemplary educational environment.

  • Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an
    innovative program of the National Center for
    Fathering focused on improving education in our
    nations schools by using the  influence of
    fathers and father-figures to provide a positive
    active male role-model for students during
    their school day.  
  • Any father, step-father, grandfather, uncle of a
    VCE student can sign up. Watch DOGS are asked to
    volunteer at least one day throughout the school
    year.

    and/or learn more about our program.

Olweus Bullying Prevention Program At VCE
The efforts of this program are designed to
improve peer relations and make the school a
safer and more positive place for students to
learn and develop. This is the most researched
and best-known bullying prevention program
available today. Olweus Day is every Friday in
which all students K-5 receive a classroom lesson
about preventing bullying. VCE's Olweus kick
off week will be Sept. 6-9th. More information
will be given soon.
