Appropriate Snacks
  • The snacks you give kids must be
  • 1.Healthy
  • 2.Easy and quick to make and fun!

2
Cooking for Kids
  • Safety First?
  • Ask the parents if it's okay to make the recipe.?
  • 2) Ask if the kids are allergic to anything.
  • 3) Keep the children away from the hot stove.
  • Suggestion
  • When preparing meals for young children, to keep
them in sight, out of mischief, try having them
draw on pieces of paper to be used as place mats
for everyone's place at the table. They can also
set the table, pour water etc.

Good Snack Ideas..
  • Ants on a Log?Celery ?Raisins ?Peanut butter
?Take a stalk of celery and rinse it with cold
water. Put peanut butter on the celery (or the
log) and sprinkle raisins on top of the peanut
butter. My suggestion Regular cream cheese in
place of the peanut butter tastes great, too!
  • Toasted Cheese ?Cheese?Bread?Tomato (optional)
?Put the cheese and tomato on the bread and put
into the oven at a low setting. Watch until the
cheese melts and then take it out and pronto!
Warm and delicious! You can also use the
    microwave instead of the oven.
  • Peanut Butter Apples? Apples? Peanut
Butter?Slice apples with a sharp knife and use a
butterknife to coat each apple slice with peanut
    butter. Add raisins if desired.

More ideas
  • English Muffin Pizzas In the toaster oven put an
english muffin that already has red sauce, cheese
and other toppings on it. Toast until cheese is
melted. Wait until cools down to feed kids.
  • Cinnamon Crackers?
  • NeedPeanut butter or butter and Plain Crackers
?Mix the peanut butter and cinnamon. Spread over
the crackers... yum! If you use butter, just
spread the butter over the crackers and add
    cinnamon on top.
  • Frozen Yogurt Pops?Need Yogurt ? plastic
cups ? Popsticks.?Pour the yogurt into the
containers and put two pop sticks in each one.
Allow to freeze and then remove from the cup. The
kids can eat it by holding the pop sticks
  • Make your own trail mix and share with kids (no
    nuts)
  • Dip Carrots in salad dressing, cut open an apple
or orange and give the kids pieces and have them
dip in peanut butter, chocolate or something else
fun to dip. Kids love dipping
