  • You may enter and exit the program as needed.

  • Managed-Enrollment Objectives
  • Provide sustained, high quality instruction
  • Reduce attendance turbulence (interruptions in
    instruction as students constantly enter and
    exit)
  • Increase our paired test scores and learner gains

Managed Enrollment at NMUSD Adult School
  • Registration Testing
  • Students enroll and pre-test BEFORE the each
    session begins.
  • Students take the post-test before the each
    session ends.
  • Students must have a pre-test and a post test
    score in order to continue to the next session.

  • Attendance Policy IMPORTANT!!!
  • If a student misses 4 consecutive days without
    informing the teacher of the reason for absence,
    the student will be DROPPED from class.
  • Dropped students must wait until the next session
    to re-enroll.

Our Enrollment Expectations
  • COME consistently!!!
  • CALL or email your teacher when you are absent.
  • If you MUST drop a class, communicate the reason
    for your exit.
  • REGISTER for an ESL class at Whittier from 8-11
    am if you cannot come to a managed enrollment
    class at the BESST site.
  • COME BACK at the next available session.
