FLIGHT DATA MONITORING
ICAO recommends that by January 2002 operators of
large aircraft should record and analyse flight
data as part of their accident prevention
programmes. By 2005 it will be an ICAO standard
to be reflected under JAR-OPS 1. The Joint
Aviation Authorities, UK Civil Aviation Authority
and French Direction Generale de lAviation
Civile have organised a conference to help
implement this technology.
