What is Rotaract?
  • Founded in 1968, Rotaract is the Rotary
    International organization for 18-30 year olds.
    Together, Interact, Rotaract and Rotary form
    Rotary International.

What is Rotaract?
  • Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for
    young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs
    are either community or university based, and
    theyre sponsored by a local Rotary club. This
    makes them true "partners in service" and key
    members of the family of Rotary.

Whats the difference?
  • Lower dues
  • Generally more service-based volunteering
  • Dynamic
  • No meal during meeting
  • Does not contribute on an individual basis to the
    RI Foundation

Starting a club
  • Need at least 6-7 people to charter (preferably
    more)
  • Utilize social media and word of mouth
  • Location, location, location!!!
  • Mentor-have the leadership visit our club and
    your board meetings
  • Provide strong and frequent encouragement
