Mission/Teaching Philosophy 
  • The mission of this physical education class is
    to get the children involved in their physical
    world.
  • In this class the children will work very hard
    to be a part of class and enhance
  • their physical activities.
  • They will really enjoy these
  • activities.

NYS STANDARDS
  • Standard 1   Personal Health and Fitness
  • Students will have the necessary knowledge and
    skills to establish and maintain physical
    fitness, participate in physical activity, and
    maintain personal health.
  • Standard 2   A Safe and Healthy Environment
  • Students will acquire the knowledge and ability
    necessary to create and maintain a safe and
    healthy environment
  • Standard 3   Resource Management
  • Students will understand and be able to manage
    their personal and community resources.

NASPE STANDARDS
  • Standard 1 Demonstrates competency in motor
    skills and movement patterns needed to perform a
    variety of physical activities.
  • Standard 2 Demonstrates understanding of
    movement concepts, principles, strategies, and
    tactics as they apply to the learning and
    performance of physical activities.
  • Standard 3 Participates regularly in physical
    activity.
  • Standard 4 Achieves and maintains a
    health-enhancing level of physical fitness.

ANNUAL CIRRICULUM
  • Quarter 1 will consist of volleyball and
    kickball.Quarter 2 will consist of basketball
    and watermelon.
  • Quarter 3 will consist of dodge-

GRADING POLICY
  • All students will begin with the grade of an A.
  • Failure to bring proper physical education attire
    and sneakers will result in a drop in their
    grade.
  • Also, students are require to participate in all
    of their physical education classes.
  • Failure to do so will also result in a drop in
    their grade.
  • Students will be able to make up one physical
    education class once a month by attending the
    make up days.
  • Make up days TBA

CLASSROOM RULES/EXPECTATIONS
  • All students are expected to bring sneakers and
    sweats to every class.
  • Failure to do this will effect their grade.
  • Also, students are to pay attention in class and
    participate in all classroom activities.
  • They must give 100 of themselves to every
    activity.
  • Finally, students will have fun. With
  • learning comes fun!!

P.E. PROGRAMS/FEATURES
  • Students will play the sports provided during
    class time.
  • Some of these sports include basketball,
    racquetball, watermelon, and kickball.
  • Also, students will play teams games and single
    games involving much thought and commitment.
  • These games will only be fun and educational for
    the students.

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY EVENTS
  • Each student must aid in one school activity.
  • Whether it be working at a school game or setting
    up for a school event.
  • They will sign up one week in advance.
  • This is to get students who do not play on a
    team, involved in the school community.

  • I am duel majoring in both Physical Education and
    Health Education.
