  • It began with the judgment of Paris. Eris, the
goddess of discord, rolled an apple into the
banquet hall on Mt. Olympus which said For the
fairest. Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite claimed it.
They asked Paris to judge. He chose Aphrodite
because she promised him the most beautiful woman
in the world. That woman was Helen of Sparta, and
when Paris took her back to Troy with him, the
Greeks went to get her back. (the face that
    launched a thousand ships)

ten-year journey home from Troy and tell how he
was able to overcome it.

Short story review
  • You should choose one of the stories that we read
in your textbook. Read it again. Be prepared to
discuss it in terms of plot, setting, character,
theme, conflict and point of view. If you have
not done that yet and have to turn your book in,
then some of the same stories are in the set of
old lit books in the back of my room. Use one of
    those. ?
