2Agenda
- Background
- Repairs Module Overview
3Background
- Repair Instructions are an important link in
the HollyFrontier mechanical integrity work
process - RBMI is a powerful tool for assuring mechanical
integrity of existing equipmentHollyFrontier saw
an opportunity to improve control over pressure
equipment repairs - Repairs module created in conjunction with LREA
to bridge this gap
4Background Repair Instructions/Weld Quality
Control Form
- Existing Weld Quality Control Form
comprehensive, but no centralized database for
storage and tracking - Old Access database used to store and track basic
Repair Instruction information in conjunction
with WQCF - One of our key work processes performed entirely
outside of RBMI
5Repairs Module Overview
- Available in version 9.7.1 and above
- Available for all asset types
- Fixed Equipment
- Relief Devices
- User Configurable
- Rotating
- Instrumentation
6Repairs Module Overview (cont.)
- Main Functionality
- Create Repair instructions
- Add different weld procedures through the Lookup
Table Maintenance - Auto-complete fields from the assets datasheet
- View / Edit / Delete a Repair
- Print reports from the Repairs Module and the
Reports Menu - Create Report Server Repairs reports
- Sync with the Non-conformance module
7Repairs Module Overview Create Repair
Instructions
- The repairs folder will be available in the
equipment explorer - Users will be able to enter
- Overall repair information
- Description and purpose of the repair
- Repairs Instructions
- Welding Requirements
- Testing Requirements
- Pressure Testing
8Repairs Module Overview Create Repair

9Repairs Module Overview Create Repair
Instructions (cont.)
10Repairs Module Overview Add Weld Procedures
through the Lookup Table Maintenance
- Weld Procedures lookup table available
- Once selected, application will auto-populate the
Welding Requirements from the lookup table
information. - User will still be able to edit the information
in the Repairs Module.
11Repairs Module Overview Add Weld Procedures
through the Lookup Table Maintenance (cont.)
12Repairs Module Overview Auto-complete fields
from the assets datasheet
- Component-level data will be auto-populated as
part of the Repair - Information Includes
- Design Temperature and Pressure
- Operating Temperature and Pressure
- Material Spec and Grade
- Joint Efficiency
- Nominal Thickness
- Pipe Specification only for pipe module
13Repairs Module Overview Print Reports
- Print button on the Repairs Module
- Also available through the Reports -gt
Miscellaneous menu - Report Server 2008 dataset also included to
create custom reports
14Repairs Module Overview Sync with the
Non-conformance module
- Available in the Corrections tab
- User can select a Repair number as part of the
permanent correction - It will link the repair with the non-conformance
record
15Repairs Module Overview Sync with the
Non-conformance module (cont.)
16Benefits
- Combine all aspects of the mechanical integrity
program in one databaseRBMI is a one stop shop - More detailed instructions on pressure equipment
repairs, fabrication requirements, and/or testing
than the Non-Conformance module currently
provides - Inspectors have detailed design information on
the asset readily available while writing repairs - Quickly generate and print detailed Repair
Instructions - Build a repair history database for each asset
apply consistent welding and testing requirements
to each repair
