• Objectives and Features
• Develop a highly portable sleep assessment
  platform, supported by a mobile phone and a
  physiological monitoring belt. This platform
  presents an alternative to current tools such as
  polysomnography (PSG), an expensive exam which is
  uncomfortable for the patient and must be
  performed in clinical facilities , under
  controlled conditions.
• MAPSA is a system that does not significantly
  interfere in the routine of the patient, thus
  allowing long time monitoring exams and the
  diagnosis of other types of sleep disorders not
  easily detectable by the PSG.
• Physiological monitored variables include
  electrocardiogram (ECG), breathing rhythm,
  superficial temperature, posture and actigraphy.
• Information on the patient routine is collected
  through electronic questionnaires on the mobile
  phone, with two tools the Sleep electronic-Diary
  (SeD) and the Dream electronic-Diary (DeD).
• The SeD is a tool that enables the scheduling of
  daily events such as sleep, meals, exercise or
  complaints. Sleep diaries are regularly used as
  complementary medical data to PSG or actigraphy.
• Using the DeD, the patient might report dreams,
  which will be scheduled in a calendar common to
  the SeD.
