• We use the Meter to measure the length of objects

• A meter is almost equal to a yard in the English
  System

Mass the Gram

• Mass is a measure like weight, or how heavy
  something is.
• Measurement like ounces and pounds.
• The gram is closest to an ounce in the English
  System of measurement

Volume the Liter

• Volume tells how much space an object takes up
• Used to measure liquids
• Measurement like cups, ounces and gallons
• The liter is closest to a quart in the English
  System of measurement
• (1 liter 1.056 quarts, 1 quart 4 cups)
