Georgias Bridge Bill

• The General Assembly of Georgia enacted the
  BRIDGE Act House Bill 400 on May 20, 2010. This
  act was passed to ensure that Georgias 6th -12th
  grade students are aware of available career and
  postsecondary education options.
• In other words, it is a law, and it pertains to
  YOU.

Second Reason

• To increase the graduation rate, decrease the
  drop- out rate, and increase postsecondary
  enrollment rate.
• Georgia wants to make sure all their students
  have a career plan.
• The goal is yours! We want to make sure that
  you have all the information necessary to reach
  your goal.

When will I do this?

• Ninth graders on PSAT day. Upperclassmen in an
  assigned computer lab during advisement.
• These requirements will be a part of your
  Wolverine Wednesday activities.
• Students will receive their portfolio username
  and password from advisement teacher once
  available.
• Your Career Cruising account can be accessed from
  home so incomplete activities may be finished
  from home, BYLD, or media center.

• Exploring and saving six occupations in your
  career portfolio. (6 total careers)
• CREATE a four-year individual graduation plan
