Tips to passing a reading test
  • Be an active reader underline, circle and block
    important people, details and dates.
  • Read the passage before the questions
  • Activate prior knowledge - connect with the text
    say this is like a ( movie, book, story, etc)
    that I once read.
  • Write in the margins summarize text as you read
    so you remain active with the reading.

  • Answer all questions try to narrow choices to
    answers then guess if you need to give yourself
    a 50 50 chance.
  • Skip and return to difficult questions dont
    spend too much time on a question that is giving
    you trouble, read on and you may find hints as
    you read to answers for questions that seem
    difficult.
  • Read all options make sure you read all answers
    before choosing as some answers may be similar.
