  1. Whether the word is morphologically simple or
    complex.
  2. The grammatical category of the word.
  3. The number of syllables.
  4. The phonological structure of the word.

  • A syllable peak with a long vowel or diphthong

  • Generally, verbs tend to be stressed by the end
    of a syllable.
  • Nouns tend to be stressed at the beginning.
