• Mobile devices laptops, tablet PCs, net books,
  smart phones, PDAs have revolutionised the way
  and where we work.
• It is important to recognise potential heath
  issues such change can bring.

• 3. Learning
• When away from your desk set up your laptop etc
  using the same principles as your desktop PC.
• Dont use laptops away from a standard desk
  environment for more than an hour at a time
  stop and take breaks.
• Mobile devices arework tools considerhow,
  when and where you use them.

• 2. Why
• A large number of STFCs staff use mobile devices
  for a significant proportion of their work to
  collect and respond to e-mail on the move.
• Many people work long hours, or never really
  switch off, responding to e-mail anywhere.
• Health hazards relating to Display Screen
  Equipment (DSE) equally apply to mobile devices.
