Objectives
To gain aknowledge about baylis hillman reaction
and application inorganic synthesis

The BaylisHillman reaction is an organic
reaction of an aldehyde and an a,ß-unsaturated
electron-withdrawing group catalyzed by DABCO
(1,4-diazabicyclo2.2.2octane) to give an
allylic alcohol.12 This reaction is also
known as the MoritaBaylisHillman reaction or
MBH reaction.3 It is named for the Japanese
chemist Ken-ichi Morita, the British chemist
Anthony B. Baylis and the German chemist Melville
E. D. Hillman. The BaylisHillman reaction, in
the present day version, is an atom-economic
carbon-carbon bond formation reaction
