  • She is invited to Bath with Mr and Mrs Allen
  • At a ball she meets Mr Tilney and is head over
    heels in love
  • Her brother is in love with Isabella Thorpe, a
    false-faced woman
  • Isabellas brother tells lies about Catherine
  • Catherine is invited to Northanger Abbey
  • She suspects Mr Tilneys father to be a murderer
  • Mr Tilney catches her spying in the abbey
  • Though they like one another, they are separated
    by Mr Tilneys father (due to lies by Mr Thorpe)
  • At the end Mr Tilney is allowed to propose to
