  • euangelion the word stood for the good news
itself. The Eng. word gospel, i.e. good
message, is the equivalent of euangelion. In the
NT it denotes the good tidings of the Kingdom
of God and of salvation through Christ, to be
received by faith, on the basis of His expiatory
death, His burial, resurrection, and ascension,
    e.g (W.E. Vines).

2
  • 38 And he said unto them, Let us go into the
next towns, that I may preach there also for
therefore came I forth. 39 And he preached in
their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast
    out devils (Mark 1).

3
  • 1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ,
the Son of God (Mark 1).

The gospel belongs to Jesus in that it came from
him and is inseparably connected to and with him,
it is the message of hope revolving around Jesus
as the Son of God.
4
  • The place to learn of the gospel is in the gospel
itself. There are many conceptual presentations
presented relative to the gospel and its
    practical application, functionality, and design.

5
  • Believe the gospel (Mark 1 15).
  • 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand repent ye, and believe
the gospel (Mark 1, cp. Acts 27 25).

6
  • Serve in the gospel (Rom. 1 9).
  • 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my
spirit in the gospel of his Son (Rom. 1).

7
  • Not ashamed of the gospel (Rom. 1 16).
  • 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
    Christ (Rom. 1 16, cp. Mark 8 38).

8
  • Preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16
    15).
  • 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every
creature.16 He that believeth and is baptized
shall be saved but he that believeth not shall
    be damned (Mark 16).

9
  • The gospel of the Kingdom (Matt. 4 23).
  • 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching
in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of
    the kingdom (Matt. 4).

10
  • Obey the gospel (Rom. 10 16).
  • 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For
Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our
    report? (Rom. 10).

11
  • Fully preach the gospel of Christ (Rom. 15 19).
  • 19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the

Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have
fully preached the gospel of Christ (Rom. 15
    19).

12
  • Gospel hidden (2 Cor. 4 3).
  • 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them
    that are lost (2 Cor. 4 3).

13
  • Gospel is Gods power (Rom. 1 16).
  • 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation
to every one that believeth to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek (Rom. 1 16).

14
  • Another gospel (Gal. 1 6).
  • 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him
that called you into the grace of Christ unto
    another gospel (Gal. 1 6).

15
  • Pervert the gospel (Gal. 1 7).
  • 7 Which is not another but there be some that
trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of
    Christ (Gal. 1 7).

16
  • Defence of the gospel (Phili. 1 17).
  • 17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set
for the defence of the gospel (Phili. 1 17).

17
  • The faith of the gospel (Phili. 1 27).
  • 27 that whether I come and see you, or else be
absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand

    27).

  • 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the

gospel according to the power of God (2 Tim. 1
    8).

20
  • The truth of the gospel (Gal. 2 5).
  • 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not

continue with you (Gal. 2 5).

21
  • 6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of
heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach
unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every
nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people
    (Rev. 14, cp. John 12 48).

22
  • 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the
gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye
have received, and wherein ye stand 2 By which
also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in
    vain (I Cor. 15).
