Supplementary education for children is defined as
as a process of mastering the voluntarily chosen
type of activity or field of knowledge, that goes
beyond the limits of obligatory standard of
(general, elementary, primary and higher
vocational) education and that lets a child
obtain a sustainable need of learning and
creating, make the most of him or herself, go
through the process of self-determination
objectively, socially, professionally and
personally. Modern supplementary education is not
simply a part of existing general education
system, but also an independent source of
education, that contributes to the acquisition of
key competencies in different spheres of a
childs self-determination in life
