• Two-dimensional, flat, orthographic
  representations of the buildings exterior
• Each elevation shows the final appearance of one
  side of the building
• Each elevation shows the final appearance of one
  side of the building

• Four exterior elevations are shown
• Elevations are drawn at the same scale as the
  floor plan
• Labeled as Front, Rear, Right, and Left Side
  Elevations
• Compass directions are often used to label
  elevations (North, South, East, West Elevations)

• Roof slope symbols showing rise and run
