6TEI of PiraeusGeneral Information
- TEI-Piraeus is located in Athens-Egaleo, in the
historic district of Elaionas (the Olivier of
Athens). It is claimed by archaeologists that
this was the location of the Academy of Plato in
ancient Athens. - TEI-Piraeus was established in 1983.
- Students are accepted to study in TEI-Piraeus
through national ranking examinations after
having completed secondary education. - TEI-Piraeus offers both theoretical and practical
education in undergraduate (BA / BSc) and
graduate (MSc) level. - Research is a major activity enhanced by our
interaction with the productive forces of the
society and the economy.

- Quality in Education
- As of 2008, full observation of national and
european education quality assurance procedures
set by - ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance
in Higher Education) - HQAA (Hellenic Quality Assurance Agency for
Higher Education) - The Diploma Supplement is issued in greek and in
english, for all our graduates. - Undergraduate and graduate curricula have been
restructured according to the European Credit
Transfer System (ECTS) to support student
mobility.
