• He reached out to check to see if the door was
  locked and cut his hand on the fish heads.

• This happened because Todd earlier stated to
  watch out because the previous kids never made it
  out the shed. This made Bud very aware of his
  surroundings and scared.

• Where?
• In chapter 5, Bud was on the lam. He was in the
  Amoss neighborhood. Then he went to library and
  was under the tree.
• Who?
• In this chapter, the only real character was Bud
  although he talked about his mom for most of it.
• Why?
• The reason he was on the lam was because the
  Amoss were mean to him.
• How?
• Bud broke out of the shed window, got his revenge
  then he just ran away to the library.
• When?
• All of this happened at night.

• It happened at a Soup Kitchen (Mission) in Flint,
  Michigan.
• Who?
• Bud, the family who pretended he was his son, and
  the guard.
• Why?
• Bud came late to the Soup Kitchen.
• How?
• Bud overslept and when he went to the mission the
  guard tried to whop him and the pretend family
  saved him by pretending he was their son.

• It happened in the morning around 7 A.M.

Flint, Michigan

• Flint Michigan is the city that Bud Caldwell was
  born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He was also
  put in a foster home in Flint. Then he was sent
  to the Amoss house to live with them and he ran
  away.

• When Bud ran away he went to look for the
  Hoverville and live with them. He stayed there
  for one night and tried to catch the train to go
  west to Chicago, but missed it because he tried
  to get his flyer. While he was there he met Deza
  Malone and got his first kiss.

• This story took place during the great depression
  in the 1920s. During this time America was very
  poor. Nobody had homes or jobs.
