Ansel Adams

• Born in 1902 in San Francisco
• He was a gifted pianist
• In 1916 his family visited Yosemite and Ansel was
  taken by the beautiful natural landscape.
• He began taking pictures in 1927, by 1940 his
  photography was well known.
• In 1970 he discovered he loved the Arizona
  landscape nearly as much as Yosemite.
• He died in 1984.
