History of the Words in Red

• The first printing of a red-letter Bible was by
  the editor of the Christian Herald, Louis Klopsch
  in 1900 60,000 copies were sold
• Klopsch read Luke 2220 and decided to print a
  red-letter NT words Jesus spoke while living
  were printed in red OT prophetic passages
  referring to Christ were identified with red
  stars
• Klopsch was invited by President Roosevelt to
  dine at the White House

  both red and black are the words of Christ
  no words are more important than others
• Jesus said the apostles would speak his words
  (Mt. 1040 Jn. 1320 1614-15)
