Title: Preparing an isometric drawing
1Preparing an isometric drawing
- Walt-
- to plan out and draw isometric shapes.
- Wilt-
- to plan out and draw an isometric shape using an
isometric cube as a guide.
2How I plan to draw
I then draw dots every 10mm along the sides
I first draw a 50mm box
I then join the dots and make a grid

3Now I have a frame to draw my shape
I also make another frame for the side of my shape
I draw the shape as it would look like from the
side.
4Now I draw two sides of a cube. Each line will
also be 50mm long
And then I will join the dots to make two grids
I now turn the arrow into an open book.
First I draw the down arrow using the 30 pizza
slice
Just like before i will mark out every 10mm along
the lines

6Now I can use the grids as a reference point for
copying the shape across to the cube
7I do the same with the side view
8From here I can use the existing angles to
complete the isometric shape
