MINIMUM STANDARDS Basic Topics Those are the
fundamentals subjects of all aspects about
hydrography and topography. It has the necessary
knowledge about reduction, resolution, data
processing and to understand the main use of
hydrographic equipment. Essentials Topics. This
subjects are considered for all hydrographers and
topographers and they form the main body of the
academic plan. Optional Units. Those that
provide guidance to complementary subjects that
could be offered by different programs. This kind
of courses are more flexible.

FINAL OBJECTIVES

• At the end of the Hydrographic and Cartographic
  Course in Mexico, the hydrographers can apply the
  knowledge for
• Be a Campaign Chief (Hydrographer in Charge),
• Planning and managing of a Hydrographic Survey
  based on IHO Standards.
• To know and operate the hydrographic equipment,
• To evaluate different subjects about personnel,
  weather and material that could affect the
  hydrographic operations.
• The hydrographer could assist Navy Authorities
  about handling and employment of strategic -
  tactic hydrographic and cartographic information
  with operational purposes.
• Knowing and applying the current National

• Collaborate on training courses for hydrographers
