Martin Luter King

• M.L.King was a great and brave man who worked for
  racial equality and civil rights in the United
  States of America. He was born in Atlanta in
  1929.
• l1947- was ordained a minister.
• l1954- became a pastor of his own church in
  Montgomery
• l1955- martin got a doctoral degree. It is the
  same year that a bus driver order mrs. Parks to
  give up her seat to a white man. When she
  refused, she was arrested.
• l1955/1956- martin led a boycott of the buses in
  Montgomery to give freedom mrs Rosa Parks. After
  negotiations between King and the city of
  Montgomery failed, the bus boycott was extended,
  and eventually lasted for 381 days.
• l1963- martin led a march on Washington on august
  28th and gave his famous speech I have a dream
  
• l1964- king received the Nobel prize for peace
• l1968-he was assassinated because some people did
  not like him
