Problem Definition

• Specific We want the campus community to use
  crosswalks on Dan Allen
• Measurable Improved orderly flow of pedestrian
  and vehicle traffic
• Agreed Upon In order for this to be
  implemented, the project must be approved by
  University Administration
• Realistic Based on standards set at other UNC
  System schools yes
• Time Bound Up to 6 years dependent upon
  receiving capital improvement funding

  Allen in order to improve orderly flow of
  pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

• No crosswalk where there are curb cuts at the
  Hodges intersection.
• Crosswalks not clearly defined at Sullivan
  intersection.

• Add painted crosswalks and road signs at the curb
  cuts already in place.

• Jaywalking and heavy traffic congestion at Cates
  intersection.

  issued warning and tickets.
