Introduction
Edward Elgar Publishing is an international
academic publisher founded in 1986 by Edward
Elgar. An independent, family-run company which
is now managed by Edward Elgar's (now chairman)
two son-in-laws. The company is headquartered in
the UK with two UK offices and a US office, in
Northampton MA. We have over 5,000 titles in
print and publish over 350 new books a year.
  • We won the Frankfurt Book Fair Academic
    Professional Publisher of the Year award in 2013.
  • We have recently been nominated for the
    Booksellers Independent Academic, Educational
    and Professional Publisher of the Year for the
    second year running.

International Markets
  • We sell to libraries all over the World through
    local booksellers, distributors and agents.
  • Our largest markets are the US, UK, Germany,
    China and Japan.
  • We make regular sales trips to these regions and
    also to developing markets and attend major
    academic conferences, book fairs and library
    events all over the World.
