• A method of teaching suitable for people of all
  ages that builds on previous learning.

Engaging 5-E

• -Think of a time you have been very bored in
  class. Was there anything special about that
  class? Can you even remember a specific day in
  that class? Did you learn anything?

How do we Engage?

• At the beginning of the lesson SHOW something
  interesting.
• Connect past learning to the current lesson.
• Come up with some activities that grab students
  attention (class discussion, group work, etc)

• This phase lets students experience and research
  so they learn the concepts and skills.

• Computer labs, articles, videos, gallery walks,
  learning stations and research posters are some
  great tools.
