Arthur) lands at Inchon and begin pushing north
towards Yalu River. - Â
- 4 - The Americans drove North Koreans back and
recaptured South Korea.

- 5 Chinese attack using weapons supplied by

recaptures North Korea and advances into South

How is this different than it was before the war?
12- Truman believed in Limited War fighting to
achieve specific goals. While MacArthur wanted
total victory. - In 1953, Eisenhower became American president. Â
The Americans threatened to use the atomic bomb
if China did not stop fighting.  - The Chinese agree to a truce , which was signed
on 27 July 1953. (a little longer than 3 years) - Â
- It is estimated that 10 million people died in
the war - as many as died in the WW I.
