• In summer, the dancers sing and dance around it
  for days to ask protection for the future.

• The medicine men have strong visions, guided by
  the Great Spirit, and ask for help in difficult
  situations.
• They are also doctors.

• The eagle is the Master of the sky.
• It is the Creator's messenger.
• It represents honesty, majesty, strength,
  courage, wisdom, power and freedom.
• Brave warriors received eagle feathers for their
  acts.

Powwows

• They are meetings of different Native American
  tribes.
• Dances, drumming contests and story-telling take
  place.
• They sell craft and food.
• The largest Powwow in North America is in
  Albuquerque.
