8More Adjectives
- Most adjectives come before nouns, but sometimes
they follow verbs and modify the subject. - Example
- These inventions are horrible.

- A and an refer to one thing.
- The refers to a specific thing.
- Use a with words beginning with consonants and an
with words beginning in vowels.
