Purpose

• Promote accessibility, investigation,
  implementation, and coordination of
  evidence-based practices. Cultivate professional
  nursing excellence through collaborative,
  interdisciplinary research to ensure quality
  patient outcomes. Develop processes to create
  awareness and engage nurses in all settings to
  identify and implement changes in practice.

Vision

• Empower nurses to seek opportunities to transform
  nursing practice through the use of research and
  evidence-based practice to achieve optimal
  patient outcomes. Promote a culture for all
  members of the health care team to incorporate
  evidence-based practice and research in their
  daily practices.

Goals

• Provide education and support to further the
  understanding and utilization of evidence-based
  practice
• Review and prioritize submitted nursing research
  questions
• Continuously evaluate and modify the process of
  implementing evidence-based practice.
• Encourage and support nursing research initiated
  and led by staff at the unit level
