Anti-Jewish/German Laws
  • This is important to our book because people
could only have radios that broadcasted German
stations, couldnt have type writers, or stay out
past 8-9 pm. This is also
important to the Holocaust because it
    actually happened.

Book Ban/Burning
  • This is important to our book because all
non-German books were burned. It was also
important to the Holocaust because it happened in
real life but in our book they were
    stored in a room underneath
    the City Hall.

Anti-Nazi Propaganda
Jewish Anti-Nazi Propaganda
  • This is important to our book because Helmuth
started printing and giving out Anti-Nazi
propaganda this is also important to the
Holocaust because it meant he was breaking the
    German Law.

Hitler Comes to Power
A picture of Hitler in a parade after he was
elected Chancellor.
  • This was important to our book because when
Hitler came to power the life of Helmuth changed.
More laws followed, and special groups came to
him in need of more kids. This is also important
to the Holocaust because it changed the lives of
not only Jews but Germans too.

declared war on Poland, France, and Russia, it
drastically change the life of our main
character, Helmuth.

This is also important to the Holocaust because
it meant that Hitler was beginning a new war with

Hitler Youth
  • This is important to our book because when
Hitler came to power he started the Jungvolk
(Hitler Youth) this meant that Helmuth would be
recruited to serve. This is also important to the
Holocaust because many teenage boys were
    recruited to fight in the
    front lines.
