May 5th 1975

• I was born in Downey California to Frank and
  Marilyn Burton.

• Busch Gardens Williamsburg opens in Virginia.

1980

• The United States Olympic Hockey Team defeats the
  Soviet Union in the semifinals of the Winter
  Olympics, in the Miracle on Ice.

• I got my first bike. Check out the sweet banana
  seat and training wheels.

1984

• Fall in love with History thanks to my 2nd grade
  teacher Ms. Clark.

• The Soviet Union Boycotts the Olympics held in
  Los Angeles

1990

• Sophomore year at Warren High School, break
  school record at the first meet of the year.

• Nelson Mandela is released from prison after
  twenty-seven years.

1993

• Senior year of High School. Get scholarship to
  CSU Northridge. Senior Athlete of the Year.

• Bill Clinton becomes 42nd President of the United
  States.

1998

• Senior year of college. Become a 3 time All
  American and multiple school record holder.

• The first Euro coins are minted in France.

2001

• Start Student Teaching at Bidwell Jr. High
  school.

• Terrorists attack the World Trade Center in New
  York.

2005

• Pope John Paul II dies over 4 million people
  travel to the Vatican to mourn him

• Begin coaching at Chico State

2007

• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is released
  and sells over 11 million copies in the first 24
  hours, becoming the fastest selling book in
  history

• Got Braces

• Chico State Track Teams win conference
  Championships

• FIFA World Cup held in South Africa, won by
  Spain.
