Aaron, 17 known to pals as Wheels is the
first person ever to perform a backflip in a
wheelchair. He learned the feat at the age of 14
and had it accepted by the World Records Academy
last year. Aaron, who was born with spina bifida
and has been in a chair since he was three, said
It feels awesome to have the record. Being in a
wheelchair is like carrying your skateboard with
you.

Filling the bath with water Provide any necessary assistance to and from and into the bathing area (minimal assistance) Scalds/burns from hot water. Potential back/upper body strain. Injury caused by slipping on the wet floor. M L/M    M Water temperature to be taken prior to assisting with bathing (add hot water to cold). NHS recommend a maximum of 43 degrees Carers to adopt a good posture consider appropriate manual handling training if necessary. Carers to wear appropriate clothing and footwear Carers to ensure that floors are dry and spillages are cleared up immediately. Carry out specific needs risk assessments if necessary Consider the persons privacy and dignity at all times L L   L
