• Here are some ideas of places
  to visit on your day out

Trafalgar Square

• In the middle of Trafalgar Square, theres a
  statue of Admiral Nelson. Its called Nelsons
  Column and its 56 metres tall. The National
  Gallery is next to Trafalgar Square.

Covent Garden

• Theres a big market at Covent Garden, but there
  isnt a garden!
• You can buy all kids of presents and souvenirs.
  There are also some nice shops and cafes here.

Buckingham Palace

• The Queen sometimes lives at Buckingham Palace,
  opposite St James Park. There are 775 rooms in
  the Palace, but you cant visit all of them!

St James Park

It isnt only a beautiful park, but its a big
stadium.

The British Museum

• At the British Museum, there are some amazing
  Egyptian mummies.

The Nature History Museum

• But if you want to see dinosaurs, go to the
  Natural History Museum. Theres a big dinosaur
  gallery there.

The National Gallery

• The National Gallery in London has got 2300
  paintings. More than four million people visit
  the gallery every year.

The Globe

• The Globe is a modern version of Shakespeares
  theatre. Its similar to the original theatre
  from 1599. Its next to the River Thames.

Harrods

• Harrods is a famous department store. Its got
  330 different departments, including an enormous
  supermarket. You can have lunch here there are
  18 bars and restaurants. Theres even a
  traditional English pub.
