Galena
Galena is found in Canada, Scotland, Germany,
France, Romania, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Spain,
England, Australia, and Mexico. It has been found
in Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin
in the United States.

Galena is one part of lead and is used in
batteries and fishing weights, and was also used
by the Greeks for coins. Pencils used to be made
of lead, but are now made with graphite. Paint
also used to be made with lead.
