Some personal stuff
  • I have 2 daughters and a 6 month old grandson
    named Tristan. My youngest is a freshman at
    Cherokee High School.
  • Ive been married for 28 years, which is hard to
    believe since I am only 29!
  • I live in Canton.
  • I love to spend time at the gym and I love to
    read.

Some personal stuff
  • There is only 1 football team worth
    mentioningand you may not say anything negative
    about my STEELERS!

School Goals
  • Students will continue timed tests. The goal in
    4th grade is to score at least 96 correct on all
    fact tests 100 problems in 5 minutes.
  • Our writing will focus on all 6 traits, with an
    emphasis on ideas and conventions to fulfill our
    school goal.
  • Problem solving skills will be taught and
    practiced throughout the year.

Student Agendas
  • All students should be recording their
    assignments in the agenda daily.
  • Please check your childs agenda as often as
    possible.
  • I will not require nightly signatures.

Papers/Weekly Folders
  • Your child will bring home a homework folder each
    night. If it is empty, we did not have homework
    that day, but they should be studying their
    spelling words and they are required to read 100
    minutes each week.
  • All school correspondence and checked work will
    come home in their Thursday Folders.
  • All PTA notices will be on blue paper again this
    year.

Snacks
Our snack time is around 900. Please remind
your child to bring in a HEALTHY snack. We will
eat while we work.

Birthday Treats
  • We celebrate birthdays at lunchtime.
  • We can celebrate ½ birthdays if your childs
    birthday is during the summer.
  • There are 30 students in our class.

Lunch
  • 1237 107
  • Visitors are welcome!!
  • The price for adult and sibling lunches is 2.75.

Attendance/Tardiness
  • Attendance at school is very important.
  • Only illness or death of a family member is
    excused. Family trips are unexcused.
  • REMEMBER School begins at 755. Students will
    be marked tardy if they are not IN THE CLASSROOM
    at 755.
  • If there is to be any change in the manner that
    your child goes home from school, please send in
    a note in the morning. If they are riding a
    different bus, they must have a note for the bus
    driver. You can find this form on the GM website.
  • Students may not be checked out after 145.
