• We will focus on the 5 components of Social
  Studies which are Geography, History, Culture,
  Government, and Economics. The major topics that
  will be covered this year include U.S. Colonial
  Settlements, PA History, Formation of the United
  States Government, Branches of the United States
  Government, United States Regions, Governments of
  the World, and Economy.

SOCIAL STUDIES GRADES

• Tests will count for 50 of the students grade,
  quizzes will account for 25 of the students
  grade, class work will count for 15, homework
  5, and class participation 5 of their grade.

TARDIES TO CLASS

• IF THE STUDENTS ARE TARDY TO CLASS 3 TIMES, THEIR
  PARENT WILL BE CONTACTED.
• ON THE 4TH TARDY TO CLASS, THEY WILL RECEIVE A
  DETENTION.
• ON THE 8TH TARDY TO CLASS, THEY WILL RECEIVE
  ANOTHER DETENTION.
• IF THEY DO NOT COME TO DETENTION, THEY WILL BE
  ASSIGNED TO ISS.
• TARDIES ARE WIPED AWAY AT THE END OF EACH MARKING
  PERIOD.
