Mercury

• It takes only 88 Earth-days for Mercury to
  make one orbit around the Sun.
• During the day, temperatures can reach over 800
  F.
• At night, the temperature can drop at almost
  -300 F.

Venus

• On Venus temperatures can reach to 900 F.
• Venus is surrounded by thick clouds that reflect
  the light from the Sun.
• Both were formed about 4 ½ billion years ago.

EARTH

• The Earth is the only planet that can support
  life.
• Earth is the only planet with food that we can
  eat.
• Earth is the 3rd planet from the Sun.

Mars

• Mars was named after the Roman god of war.
• The rest of Mars is mostly nitrogen and argon.
• It is usually very cold on Mars.

Jupiter

• Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun.
• Jupiter is 483 million miles from the Sun.
• Jupiter has 16 moons.

• Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun.
• Saturn is 887 million miles (1 billion, 416
  million kilometers) from the Sun.
• Saturn has at least 18 moons.

• Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun.
• Uranus is 1 billion, 783 million miles (2 billion
  kilometers) from the Sun.
• Uranus has 5 large moons and 10 small moons.

• Neptune is 2 billion miles from the Sun.
• Neptune has at least 8 moons.
• A year on Neptune is 165 Earth-years long.
