Before we get into Obadiah, we need to lay a
foundation for a Biblical view of the Last Days
and the Day of the LordOba 115 "For the day
of the LORD draws near on all the nations. As you
have done, it will be done to you. Your dealings
will return on your own head. Joe 114
Consecrate a fast, Proclaim a solemn assembly
Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the
land To the house of the LORD your God, And cry
out to the LORD. Joe 115 Alas for the day! For
the day of the LORD is near, And it will come as
destruction from the Almighty.

Joe 21 Blow a trumpet in Zion, And sound an
alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the
inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of
the LORD is coming Surely it is near, Joe 22
A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and
thick darkness. As the dawn is spread over the
mountains, So there is a great and mighty people
There has never been anything like it, Nor will
there be again after it To the years of many
generations.

• People have always said the end times were
  near.
• However, since 70 AD, we know that Jesus could
  not return until many signs were fulfilled. And
  there are still signs yet to be fulfilled

Joe 212 "Yet even now," declares the LORD,
"Return to Me with all your heart, And with
fasting, weeping and mourning Joe 213 And
rend your heart and not your garments." Now
return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious
and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in
lovingkindness And relenting of evil.

Joe 228 "It will come about after this That I
will pour out My Spirit on all mankind And your
sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men
will dream dreams, Your young men will see
visions. Joe 229 "Even on the male and female
servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
Joe 230 "I will display wonders in the sky and
on the earth, Blood, fire and columns of smoke.
Joe 231 "The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood Before the great and
awesome day of the LORD comes.

• Does this mean old men cant have visions, and
  young men cant dream dreams?
• This passage is an example of Hebrew poetic form.

Dan 124 "But as for you, Daniel, conceal these
words and seal up the book until the end of time
many will go back and forth, and knowledge will
increase."

2Th 21 Now we request you, brethren, with
regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and
our gathering together to Him, 2Th 22 that you
not be quickly shaken from your composure or be
disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a
letter as if from us, to the effect that the day
of the Lord has come. 2Th 23 Let no one in any
way deceive you, for it will not come unless the
apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness
is revealed, the son of destruction, 2Th 24
who opposes and exalts himself above every
so-called god or object of worship, so that he
takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying
himself as being God.

There is only one scripture in the Bible that
gives us the timing of the rapture
Remember, the Day of the Lord starts with the
Rapture and ends with the final judgment, after
the 1000 year reign of Christ

• 2 Thessalonians 21-3 Now we request you,

Lord GOD, Behold, I will take the sons of Israel
from among the nations where they have gone, and
I will gather them from every side and bring them
into their own land

1947 AD The UN voted to end British control of
Palestine and to divide/partition the country
into a Jewish and Arab state.

In Joel 32, the prophet said that the nations of
the world will be judged for having scattered the
people of Israel and for having divided up (or
parted or partitioned) the land of Israel. On
November 29, 1947, when the United Nations
General Assembly approved a motion to partition
the land, which at that time was called
Palestine. The partition plan divided the land
into two separate states, one for Jewish people
and another for Arab people.

In this initial declaration, Jerusalem would be
an international city, belonging to no one
country or people.

1948, May 14 Jews declare independence On May
14, 1948, the Jews declare independence for
Israel. This is the first time in 2900 years that
Israel is both independent and united. At
this time, many more Jews from all over the world
came to Israel, as prophesied

dispersed of Israel, declares, Yet others I will
gather to them, to those already gathered.

recapture more of the ancient Jewish homeland,
expanding the size of Israel by about 50

Israel takes control of Jerusalem and other
ancient-Jewish territories.

1917- Current Jew began to buy property from the
Palestinians- This was prophesied in
scripture!!!Jeremiah 3244   Fields will be
bought for silver, and deeds will be signed,
sealed and witnessed in the territory of
Benjamin, in the villages around Jerusalem, in
the towns of Judah and in the towns of the hill
country, of the western foothills and of the
Negev, because I will restore their fortunes,
declares the Lord.

Syria is also threatening Israel and supporting
the terrorists who are waging Jihad on
them.Amos 13-5 States that Syria will come
against Israel four times, and then will be made
desolate. These occurred in 1948 (1st)
1967(2nd) 1973(3rd) and the 4th appears
that it could happen at any time!Damascus is the
capital of Syria. It is the oldest perpetual
city in the world! It is over 5000 years old!

Is. 171 States that Damascus will be taken away
from being a city and become a ruinous heap -
this has not happened yet, but
will very soon!! Isa 171 The oracle concerning
Damascus. "Behold, Damascus is about to be
removed from being a city And will become a
fallen ruin.

In 1973, Israel came with 20 kilometers of
Damascus - Russia stepped in and informed the
world that if they continue, it willbe world war
three. If Israel had destroyed Damascus then,
this prophecy could not have been
fulfilled!Additionally, Russia is backing
Damascus - when Damascus attacks Israel again, it
will be destroyed, and it will cause
theprophecies in Ez. 38 and 39 to be fulfilled -
Russia, the bear of the north along with Muslim
nations will be forced to attack Israel, but God
will intervene!

Damascus(Syria) could be the catalyst for it all
to happen! Eze 383 and say, 'Thus says the
Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against you, O Gog,
prince of Rosh( Russia), Meshech and Tubal. Eze
384 "I will turn you about and put hooks into
your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your
army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly
attired, a great company with buckler and shield,
all of them wielding swords

Eze 399 "Then those who inhabit the cities of
Israel will go out and make fires with the
weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers,
bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for
seven years they will make fires of them. Zec
122 "Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup
that causes reeling to all the peoples around
and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will
also be against Judah. Zec 123 "It will come
about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a
heavy stone for all the peoples all who lift it
will be severely injured. And all the nations of
the earth will be gathered against it.

• Even the USA is attempting to partition the land.
  Joel said those who do this are against Israel
  Joe 32 I will gather all the nations And bring
  them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I
  will enter into judgment with them there On
  behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
  Whom they have scattered among the nations And
  they have divided up My land

Mat 243 As He was sitting on the Mount of
Olives, the disciples came to Him privately,
saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen,
and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of
the end of the age?Lets list the signs Jesus
gives.

  he will be saved. 14 "This gospel of the kingdom
  shall be preached in the whole world as a
  testimony to all the nations, and then the end
  will come.

Matt 2433So, you too, when you see all these
things, recognize that He is near, right at the

Believers (the Church) will be here until the
great commission is completed.It is a command
to the believers and the final sign of Christs
return for His Church the Rapture

the dead, the first fruits of those who are

Note that the end is the end of human rule on
this planet. This happens at the Rapture of the
believers. The fullness of the Gentiles have
come in. The end is when we have taken the
Gospel to all nations. Some may say this
isnt the believers job

were asking Him, saying, "Lord, is it at this
time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?"
Act 17 He said to them, "It is not for you to
know times or epochs which the Father has fixed
by His own authority Act 18 but you will
