Unconsciousness
  • Unconsciousness is reduced awareness
  • Make sure the victim's airways are open and clear

Artificial Respiration
  • Artificial respiration is a lifesaving method
    used to restore breathing to a person whose
    breathing has stopped

Choking
  • Choking occurs when the airway is blocked and a
    person's breathing is interrupted

CPR
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) consists of
    artificial respiration and manual cardiac massage

Shock
  • Usual symptoms include
  • fearful appearance
  • light-headedness
  • signs of weakness
  • extreme thirst

Heart Attack
  • Symptoms
  • sudden chest pains
  • gray facial color
  • extremely high or faint pulse rates
  • shallow and fast breathing
  • sweating
  • unconsciousness

Convulsions
  • Place the victim on the ground
  • Do not restraining
  • Do not open the victim's mouth
  • Remove dangerous objects
  • Place the victim in recovery position

Recovery Position
  • Face-up on the ground
  • Victim's head toward the right side
  • Treat injuries

Transporting Injured Person
  • The victim should be made comfortable and the
    most practical method of transportation
    ascertained

Bleeding
  • Locate the bleeding point
  • Continuous pressure for at least ten minutes
  • Raise the injured part
  • Cover the wound with a clean dressing

  • Bruise- purplish mark beneath the surface of the
    skin caused by bleeding from small blood vessels

  • Control Bleeding
  • Wash the wound with soap and water
  • Apply a clean dressing

  • Sitting position with the head tilted forward
