What are rocks used for??

• We need rocks for everything when couldnt
  live if we didnt have rocks we need rocks for
• building
• Make food and plants
• Weapons
• Headstone
• Roads
• Rocks are important to us but we just dont see
  it

The types of rocks

• 1. igneous which is from a volcanoes
• 2. sedimentary which is from period of time
  under water
• 3.metamorphic rock which was once a other rock
  but got change by the sun

Igneous rocks

• Fire Rocks
• Formed underground by trapped, cooled magma
• Formed above ground when volcanoes erupt and
  magma cools
• E.G granite, scoria and basalt Fire Rocks

Sedimentary rock

• The wind and water breakdown the earth its
  settle in a lake and river layer will form , the
  pressure and time will turn into a rock e.g.
  sand rock limestone and gypsum

Metamorphic rock

• Rocks that have been change by the sun it used to
  be sedimentary pressure and heat has change them
  or igneous rock e.g. gold diamonds crystal

Erosion is

• Erosion is when the weathering breakdown the rock
  it is due by the heat water ice is rubbing
  against the rock

• Weathering is the breakdown of rocks due to the
  weather

Freeze-thaw weathering

• When water get into a crack in a rock
• As the water turns in to ice it expands
• Cause the little crack to open a little
• As it repeated freezing and thawing weaken the
  rock
• Common in mountains where the temperature are
  often around freezing point

Onion skin

• This start when a rock is repeated heated and
  cooled
• As the rock gets heated in the day the outer
  layer of the rock expands slightly
• This mostly happen it the desert
• Then the skin starts to peel of this is erosion

Biological weathering

• Seed falls into crack of rocks
• Where it will find shelter
• As the seed starts to grow the rock has to starts
  to break so then the rock get broking up

Acid rain

• Acid is in our rain it attack the rock and the
  will soon melt them it does not look the same
