morning message, carpet time, snack and before
?or after a story, show the students an episode
of Letterella This could be your letter of the
day or week. Teach the students how to write
the letter by writing it in the top left
?box. Ask a student to rewrite the letter in the

whiteboard for the students to play (Slide 4)

Play Letterella Extension Activities - Look
around the classroom for items beginning with a
particular ?sound - ABC work sheets Have
students practice fine motor skills while
?writing a letter, a word that starts with that
letter and have them add ?words to word wall -
ABC deck of cards Have students match the
capital letter with the ?lower case letter. This
can be done as memory game where cards are ?place
face down on the table or it can be played like
Go fish where ?students ask each other for the
letters. These cards can also be ?modified so the
students are matching a picture with the letter
- Hide your letter of the week around your class
for students to find.
