HISTORY

• The competition will have its second edition
  this year under 7th Framework programme of the
  EU, DG Education and Culture - RESEARCHERS NIGHT
  2012 - In-CLOSE.
• The YES contest had its first edition in
  RESEARCHERS NIGHT 2010 under the project RECSES
  and its objective is to encourage young people to
  enter and stay in research. It will enlarge the
  created from the first contest data base of young
  scientists looking for appropriate conditions to
  demonstrate and develop their research potential.
  
• This year the emphasis is on life science
  and the provision better quality of life for
  ageing society.

WHAT IS IT?

• The competition fosters, stimulates and
  encourages young researchers with new ideas to
  come out and to propose them to industry as well
  as to stimulate the free exchange of ideas and
  information about scientific knowledge and
  intellectual values.
• Emphasis is placed on emerging and innovative
  technology products and services, which have a
  high likelihood of generating significant
  benefits for all stakeholders, both investors and
  the researchers.

AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE

• We inspire, challenge, collaborate and celebrate
  an entrepreneurs and innovators across domains
  of electronics, telecommunications, mechanics,
  robotics, biotechnologies, physics, e-government,
  ecology, quality control, information
  technologies, medicine.

MISSION

• Our mission is to rewards ideas that have
  potential to become a new business or even a new
  industry. The competition provides opportunity
  for face to face meeting with entrepreneurs and
  interaction with other innovators from the event.

PARTICIPANTS JURY

• We are targeting researchers under 35 years old
  doing their PhD or Master thesis and other young
  people working in academy or science filed. The
  candidates are able to submit their proposals
  through online registration form.
• The project abstracts will be evaluated by jury
  selected from lecturers and consultants from the
  best professionals from the industry and
  research sector and the winner of the 2011
  contest YES.
• All participating competitors will benefit from
  the education provided, introductions to
  potential investors, publicity, and feedback from
  industry experts that occur at the national
  event.
• The best five proposals will be presented during
  The night of 28.09.2012 in Sofia in front of
  the jury and the visitors of the event.
