Foot Mouth disease rampant in this region,
spreading easily among hoofed animals such as

U.K. has taken precautions by not only mass

healthy animals as well The 9 week epidemic has
ravaged Britains farming and rural tourism
industry, and led to the slaughter of 2.2 million

point in North America is Mt. McKinley in Alaska,
and the lowest point is Death Valley,

The Andes Mountains are the principle system in
South America It is one of the greatest
mountain chains in the world with only the
Himalayas reaching higher However, the Andes
constitute the longest mountain system in the
world, extending more than 5000 miles from the
Caribbean Sea to the Tierra del Fuego

Brazil is the fifth largest country in the
world at approximately 3,286,470 square miles
Brazil also contains the worlds fifth largest
city, Sao Paolo with a population of 17.9 million
people Brazil houses the Amazon rain forest,
however demands of agriculture are leading to its
destruction The rain forest is destroyed at a
rate of 1.5 square miles per hour

Rwanda is located in east, central Africa and
is surrounded by the Congo The Hutu and Tutsi
are often considered to be two opposing ethnic
groups in Rwanda Deep seated ethnic hatred
erupted in 1994 The Hutus have been accused of
slaughtering 800,000 Tutsi civilians in an act of
genocide

The Saharan Desert is one of many physical
