- SOM 120 is not an operations management course
statistics are used in all options, including
marketing, finance, accounting, etc. - As such, SOM 120 should not be used as a gauge of
what will be learned in other SOM courses - To test this for yourself, we recommend taking
SOM 306 before making a final decision on your
option (as well as 300-level courses in other
options) - (Some students take SOM 306 and/or 307 late in
their degree, after which they wish they had
chosen SOM as a major -- but by then its too late
to switch.)
