Workshop
  • A meeting during which experienced persons in
    responsible positions come together with experts
    to find solutions to problems that have cropped
    up in the course of their work.
  • Active involvement by each participant who works
    and learns from practical (hands-on)
    experience.

This workshop will focus on
  • The preparation of teaching aids that will
    enhance your classes and help learners

Objectives
  • At the end of this workshop, a participant shall
    be able to
  • Appreciate the need to make impressive teaching
    aids.
  • Construct low-cost models for teaching simple
    psychomotor skills or principles of physiology /
    pharmacology
  • Prepare Power point slides using animations to
    explain mechanisms
  • Formulate problems and case-studies which
    represent important prototypical clinical
    situations for problem-centered learning
  • Design check-lists for OSPE
  • Design CAL programs

How will we go about it?
  • Introduction by the resource person
  • Tasks using a computer/OHP
  • Discuss the problem you had while doing the task
    with the resource persons
  • Interact with the whole group

During the workshop
  • Please be on time after the breaks.
  • Do not hesitate to ask questions, voice your
    opinions or disagree with the resource person.
  • There may be more than one correct answer for a
    question.
  • Some questions may not have an answer as yet.
  • There is no single correct method of doing
    anything - even the faculty may disagree among
    themselves on some points.
  • Try to finish the given task within the allotted
    time.
