The successful candidate will have relevant
experience in a product development role.
Experience in managing product development
projects and GMP requirements is essential.
Experience of immunohaematology, reagent
formulation, reagent manipulation or assay
development would be beneficial, as would
demonstrable experience of project team
co-ordination and project completion/product
launch. In addition the successful candidate
must have excellent communication skills
including both presentation and report writing
(with an attention to detail), leadership skills
and experience, and able to organise themselves
and the work of others.
Alba Bioscience Limited is a well-established
bio-manufacturing organisation, with an
internationally recognised product
portfolio. The product range includes in vitro
diagnostics for immunohaematology, immunology and
haematology. Many products incorporate polyclonal
antisera or monoclonal antibodies. The
organisation offers contract services to the
bioscience industry and currently manufactures
products for major global players in the Life
Sciences sectors. Development and manufacturing
capabilities include pilot and large-scale
mammalian cell culture, polyclonal antibody
production, product formulation, liquid fill and
packaging. All manufacturing is carried out
according to current Good Manufacturing Practice
in facilities located at two sites in Edinburgh
area. All manufacturing is carried out according

of the art facilities located in Edinburgh,
Scotland. Applications are sought for the above
vacancy within the Development Department based
at Pentlands Science Park, Edinburgh. The
successful candidate will be responsible for the
management of the development of new products
and/or processes within Alba Bioscience. The
candidate will participate and, where required,
manage various company wide projects often
involving interaction with external parties.
